Trisha and Daine

Sometimes all you want to do is just  look at them so you would feel better.

                  TRISHA                  DAINE

And now I feel so much better :-)

Getting Girlie

My first born is growing up so fast and I can't seem to catch up.
She is already a first grader. A first grader! hah!
The mommy heart in me  is so slow to absorb it.
It was just yesterday when I cradled her in my arms and sang lullaby s for her so she could go to sleep.
Now , she chooses what she wants to wear , knows how to fix her hair , eats by chopsticks , sends SMS and clicks the " like" button in facebook.
And tomorrow? Lipstick and nail polish and eye shadow and strappy heels and bangles might be all over her room.
Oh baby girl, please don't grow up so fast. I miss your pacifier.

For My Mommy

I love the way you dance the Cha cha even if your steps are quite confusing to me, I love the way you sing “Wonderful Tonight” even if your pitch are two notes higher, I love the way you call my name- ‘Donna’ when you make lambing, but I wanted to just vanish when you call me by my full name “DonnaBelle” because it means you’re mad, I love the way you cook Ginataang everything (that’s your specialty) even if it’s so hot and spicy most of the time, I love the way you take care of yourself even if sometimes I find it OA already :-), I love the way you dress even if all your plumps are showing, I love the way you teach and guide Trisha with all her lessons and assignments in school, I know I owe you so much, I love the way you take care of Trisha even if you spoil her often, I am forever grateful to you.

And so on your special day let me thank you…

for all your countless sacrifices to the four of us ( me and my siblings), for being our bestfriend, for being our confidante for being our angel for being a very loving lola to Third and Trisha and most of all for being such a wonderful Mom.

I may not afford to give you an expensive gift for your birthday but I wish you…

a long and healthy life so that you can still see and enjoy your future great grand children, peace and happiness because it will make you look younger, and most importantly, I pray to the Lord, that he may grant your heart's desire.

I do not utter this often but to say that I love you very much is an understatement.

Happy Birthday Mommy! You are simply the BEST!

Trisha at 5

Trisha turned 5 last April 15, oh how time really flies.
In no time , my little angel will no longer be a baby (well, she'll always be a baby to me) and she will soon be wearing skirts and heels and lipsticks...just the mere thought of it makes me wanna cry :-(
And so, I won't think of that for now. For the meantime, all i need to do is to enjoy every bits and pieces of Trisha.
Most importantly , I pray to the BIG MAN up there that he may always lead Trisha to the path of righteousness and Godliness.

Trisha in Action

Trisha is one vigorous little girl. There is never a dull moment with this feisty kiddo. Take a look at her pictures taken in school by her granny.

She already developed a study habit that everytime she comes home from school, she always sees to it that she makes her homework first before taking her afternoon nap. Mommy Lily said Trisha will not go to sleep until she finishes all her homeworks.
It's almost a month now since she has started schooling and so far, she's loving it.

The perfect quiz

It was almost noon time and Mommy Lily was anxious. She was peeping at the window of Trisha's classroom and was nervously eying on the little brat who was standing in front of the teacher. It was Trisha's first quiz/recitation last June 11. Mommy Lily was uncertain if the angel would be able to answer the teacher's questions.

The night before , my youngest sister was giving lessons to Trisha in preparation for the coming quiz, but the little brat was hardly listening. Her attention was merely focused on the pencil that she was holding and on the paper in front of her. Trisha just keeps on doodling some abstract things that she could only understand. Not only that, she responds to the question but was giving the wrong answers and will laugh so hard ( yes, she is naughty). Mommy Lily had to pretend that she was mad just so the little girl would cooperate with her tita. After a few more minutes, Trisha announced that she was already sleepy and doesn't want to study the lessons anymore. The granny and the tita looked at each other and said in unison"Bahala na bukas."

Mommy Lily was almost out of breath when teacher Gina asked the first question.
Teacher Gina: 'Alligator starts with a letter...??'
Trisha: 'A' was her quick reply (Mommy Lily was amazed)
Teacher Gina:'What is the color of the alligator?'
Trisha:'Black'
Teacher Gina:'What does the alligator eats?'
Trisha:'Fish and frog'
The teacher then asked Trisha to draw a circle, triangle and rectangle in the paper, in which the little girl willingly did as what the teacher had asked.
And the result... Trisha's first quiz was perfect!
Mommy Lily was smiling from ear to ear and she treated Trisha to Jollibee after her class.

Accross the miles, there is one PROUD MOMMA who was jumping for joy.

Trisha's 1st day in school

Last Thursday, Trisha had her first taste of school life.

We enrolled her in one of the montessori in our place and she was admitted as Nursery in level A. She has a good schedule which is from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

The night before the big day, she was so excited and kept on checking her school bag, lunch box and notebooks. She even wants to wear the socks and shoes already. She slept with her lunch box beside her.

At quarter to eleven the next day, the school bus arrived in our house where Trisha and her Tita Lablab were already waiting.

At exactly eleven in the morning, Trisha with Tita Lablab were already entering the classroom with the other kids. For almost an hour , Trisha was very quiet and just observing what was happening around her. The teacher started introducing each student and Trisha was still quiet when her name was called. Suddenly, Tita Lablab noticed that she is about to cry and in no time , Trisha spilled the tears. When Tita Lablab asked her why was she crying , her reply was " I want to go home na because Mommy Lily (her grandma) is alone in the house and i am worried."(nagpalusot pa)
Tita lablab left no choice but to take Trisha home because she can feel that tantrums is in the air.

And so, Mommy Lily was surprised because they went home early.
Tita Lablab told her what happend and this is what Mother Lily had to say "Well, tomorrow is another day."

My sister Det

I was so happy when I received a mail from my sister Det this morning.

Her very first article entitled "Winning by surrendering to the Holy Spirit's love" was published in the Newsletter of a catholic organization where she is a member. I can feel her excitement and jubilation as her article was put in the front page.

Det's piece is all about stories and testimonies of the new members of their catholic community.

These people are from different walks of life who has been touched by the power of the Holy Spirit eversince they started attending this charismatic seminar until they become fullpledge members. This religious organization with the assistance of the priests and active members help the new ones become much more closer to God by organizing a classsroom style seminar all pertaining to the wonderful deeds and works of our Lord God.
The attendees are very happy and satisfied as they feel so blessed and enlightend.

I can say that this is one big accomplishement for my sister as it is her long dream to write and being the religious person that she is, Det choose to write in her community where she feels a true sense of belonging and acceptance . Now that she is already in her first step, I know that this is the beginning of my sister's realization to do what she really loves.

To you Det, I am so proud of you. May you continue spreading the good news and may the Lord God guide you always to the path of righteousness and Godliness.

Good Luck and God Bless you always!!

Para sa Nanay ko

(excerpt from the lyrics of Sa Ugoy ng Duyan)

Puso kong may dusa
Sabik sa ugoy ng duyan mo Inay
Sana narito ka Inay

Maligayang Araw ng mga ina Mommy!Lagi kitang mahal.

One Fine Day

One fine day, I was strolling along with my baby...
We've got the sun and it begins to shine...

I feel the warmth of his hand in mine...

How I love his smile and the happy ways I feel inside...

Oh, side by side with the one I love...

One fine Day..

Elekastes at Iba Pa

Just want to share with you about my little angel’s chirpiness.
Hope you enjoy reading her frolics. Here it goes:

Trisha: Mommy I want to go sa mall
Mommy: Why?
Trisha: I want to ride in the elekastes(escalator)
Mommy: Anak, its es-ca-la-tor
Trisha: ES- CA - LA - TOR
Mommy: Say it fast now– escalator
Trisha: ELEKASTES

Actually, she already knew how to say it properly. It’s just that she is a mischievous little girl. At her early age, she knows how to play tricks on us.

Here’s another:

Lily: Trisha, tell your Mom, you have big legs
Trisha: Mommy I have big lags oh , can you see?
Mommy: Oh my gosh! I’m scared of Trisha’s big legs.
Trisha: Mommy, don’t be scared na, I’m sexy oh.

And another…

Mommy: Hello Trisha, what did you today?
Trisha: I went sa mall with Lily (lily means lola) and Tita Lablab
Mommy: What did you do in the mall?
Trisha: I run… Mommy ayoko na punta sa mall, nahihirapan na ako eh.
Mommy: My gosh! Why? What’s wrong?
Trisha: Na tired ako mommy eh, na tired nako mag run. Tapos I saw the batang lalake.
He ride sa helicopter, I’m afraid of the helicopter eh, nahihirapan ako ma-afraid.

And another pa….

Mommy: Trisha anak, please pass the phone to Lily, I want to talk to her
Trisha: (doesn’t want to give the phone to her lola).Wala si Lily Mommy, umalis sha.(I can hear Lily’s voice on the background though)
Mommy: Anak, do you know that it’s bad to tell a lie. The monster will come out and he might get you.
Trisha: I’m not afraid sa monster Mommy, friend ko na sha eh, friend ko na sha.
Mag p-play kami ng bubbles ng monster.
Mommy: Oh really! Give the phone to Lily please. (But to no avail, I just dialed Lily’s mobile no.)

Day Off

Two extra days off is what I've got for this month. The Big Boss is giving me two extra rest days to recharge and unwind. As I've mentioned in my previous post, we just finished our first exhibition and I am literally exhausted.
I am just awaiting Buddy's announcement as to when he will have his off so we can spend the day together because I was given the priviledge of choosing which day I will take. Well, our day off hardly ever meets, hence this is the very seldom occasion that we can really have our bonding moments. Just the two of us.
I am one big excited momma, already planning where we could spend the day and where to eat and what to shop, etc.
It will be for sure, a very fun filled and enjoyable day for both of us.Our most awaited...Day Off.

UNTIL DEATH DO US PART

Today, we celebrate our 6th Wedding Anniversary. We celebrate our six years of being happily married. We celebrate our six years of copious pursuit. We celebrate our six years of loving each other more than words could ever tell. Above all, we celebrate our six years with God being the center of our family.

We may have our ups and downs, our qualms and sleepless nights, our struggles and tussles, but we stand firm, walk our heads up high and move forward. For our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising whenever we fall.

We know that we are not even half way of our journey; nevertheless, as long as we travel together, we are certain to reach the end of the road that is destined for us. We will never let go of each others hands, knowing that our tender touch will keep us safe and sound from all the bleakness that this world can bring.

Along the way, we have received the greatest gift of a most precious Beautiful Angel. She is our guiding light, our forever bliss, our reason for living. She is every breath that we take. Because we have her, our lives will be perpetually complete.

As we continue this ride on the way to our providence, we pray to the Almighty for guidance, blessings, endurance, faith and incessant affection to shield our bond until eternity.
“For better, for worse,
For richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
UNTIL DEATH DO US PART

Angel of Mine

“When I first saw you I already knew, there was something inside of you, something I thought that I would never find….. Angel of Mine.”

We were singing the song together over the phone yesterday. The first time I heard this from I can’t remember when anymore, I fell in love with the song at once. To my amazement, Trisha fell in love with this very same song, the first time she heard it. She keeps on singing the song when she’s playing, writing and while lying in bed. And mind you, she can sing the song from the start up to chorus. Yesterday, she was in her utmost ardent mood to sing. “Mommy, let’s sing a song together, I want to sing Angel of Mine.”It was more of a command that I was like a soldier following orders from my Commanding Officer. As expected, we sang the song together with bursting emotions. Every lyrics of the song I dedicate to Trisha. “You came into my life sent from above; when I lost all hope you showed me love….”
She is beyond doubt an Angel of Mine.
