When you feel discouraged
O my soul, don't be discouraged. Don't be upset. Expect God to act! For I know that I shall again have plenty of reason to praise him for all that he will do.
He is my help! He is my God!

Trisha in Action
Trisha is one vigorous little girl. There is never a dull moment with this feisty kiddo. Take a look at her pictures taken in school by her granny.
She already developed a study habit that everytime she comes home from school, she always sees to it that she makes her homework first before taking her afternoon nap. Mommy Lily said Trisha will not go to sleep until she finishes all her homeworks.
It's almost a month now since she has started schooling and so far, she's loving it.

The perfect quiz
It was almost noon time and Mommy Lily was anxious. She was peeping at the window of Trisha's classroom and was nervously eying on the little brat who was standing in front of the teacher. It was Trisha's first quiz/recitation last June 11. Mommy Lily was uncertain if the angel would be able to answer the teacher's questions.
The night before , my youngest sister was giving lessons to Trisha in preparation for the coming quiz, but the little brat was hardly listening. Her attention was merely focused on the pencil that she was holding and on the paper in front of her. Trisha just keeps on doodling some abstract things that she could only understand. Not only that, she responds to the question but was giving the wrong answers and will laugh so hard ( yes, she is naughty). Mommy Lily had to pretend that she was mad just so the little girl would cooperate with her tita. After a few more minutes, Trisha announced that she was already sleepy and doesn't want to study the lessons anymore. The granny and the tita looked at each other and said in unison"Bahala na bukas."
Mommy Lily was almost out of breath when teacher Gina asked the first question.
Teacher Gina: 'Alligator starts with a letter...??'
Trisha: 'A' was her quick reply (Mommy Lily was amazed)
Teacher Gina:'What is the color of the alligator?'
Trisha:'Black'
Teacher Gina:'What does the alligator eats?'
Trisha:'Fish and frog'
The teacher then asked Trisha to draw a circle, triangle and rectangle in the paper, in which the little girl willingly did as what the teacher had asked.
And the result... Trisha's first quiz was perfect!
Mommy Lily was smiling from ear to ear and she treated Trisha to Jollibee after her class.
Accross the miles, there is one PROUD MOMMA who was jumping for joy.

Trisha's 1st day in school
Last Thursday, Trisha had her first taste of school life.
We enrolled her in one of the montessori in our place and she was admitted as Nursery in level A. She has a good schedule which is from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
The night before the big day, she was so excited and kept on checking her school bag, lunch box and notebooks. She even wants to wear the socks and shoes already. She slept with her lunch box beside her.
At quarter to eleven the next day, the school bus arrived in our house where Trisha and her Tita Lablab were already waiting.
At exactly eleven in the morning, Trisha with Tita Lablab were already entering the classroom with the other kids. For almost an hour , Trisha was very quiet and just observing what was happening around her. The teacher started introducing each student and Trisha was still quiet when her name was called. Suddenly, Tita Lablab noticed that she is about to cry and in no time , Trisha spilled the tears. When Tita Lablab asked her why was she crying , her reply was " I want to go home na because Mommy Lily (her grandma) is alone in the house and i am worried."(nagpalusot pa)
Tita lablab left no choice but to take Trisha home because she can feel that tantrums is in the air.
And so, Mommy Lily was surprised because they went home early.
Tita Lablab told her what happend and this is what Mother Lily had to say "Well, tomorrow is another day."

My sister Det
I was so happy when I received a mail from my sister Det this morning.
Her very first article entitled "Winning by surrendering to the Holy Spirit's love" was published in the Newsletter of a catholic organization where she is a member. I can feel her excitement and jubilation as her article was put in the front page.
Det's piece is all about stories and testimonies of the new members of their catholic community.
These people are from different walks of life who has been touched by the power of the Holy Spirit eversince they started attending this charismatic seminar until they become fullpledge members. This religious organization with the assistance of the priests and active members help the new ones become much more closer to God by organizing a classsroom style seminar all pertaining to the wonderful deeds and works of our Lord God.
The attendees are very happy and satisfied as they feel so blessed and enlightend.
I can say that this is one big accomplishement for my sister as it is her long dream to write and being the religious person that she is, Det choose to write in her community where she feels a true sense of belonging and acceptance . Now that she is already in her first step, I know that this is the beginning of my sister's realization to do what she really loves.
To you Det, I am so proud of you. May you continue spreading the good news and may the Lord God guide you always to the path of righteousness and Godliness.
Good Luck and God Bless you always!!

Para sa Nanay ko
(excerpt from the lyrics of Sa Ugoy ng Duyan)
Puso kong may dusa
Sabik sa ugoy ng duyan mo Inay
Sana narito ka Inay
Maligayang Araw ng mga ina Mommy!Lagi kitang mahal.

V Day ( an overdue valentine's blog)
On Heart’s day, I was extremely busy in the venue where our event will be held. It was the last day of build up before the big event so we were really "toxic" until evening. On the other side of the road, Buddy was patiently waiting for me as he was expecting that we can still dine out even on the last minute. Well , he was not only expecting but also very persistent, because at quarter to nine in the evening, I received a call from him saying that he was already in a mall waiting for me. Oh noo! What was that?! I was in a little panic because I was still handling some urgent issues on sight. But hey, I should know my priorities and Buddy is on top of the list and it’s almost nine.
Was my Boss reading my mind or what? I was just about to ask her that I need to leave when she suddenly approached and told me that I can already go and that she and my other colleagues will be the ones to stay and handle the issues. Oh wow! Thanks a lot!
I immediately gave Buddy a ring and informed him that I will be at the meeting place in no time.
At exactly nine thirty five pm, we were sitting in an Italian Restaurant waiting for our late-night dinner while smiling at each other.

Flowers for Me
It was so sweet of my Boss to give me such a lovely bouquet of flowers.
The sight of these beautiful flowers on my table refreshed my eyes and eased my tired mind.
I let the lilies stayed on my office table for a couple of days before I took it home and put it in our dining table.

Bee Day
1st Feb. (behind time activities)
I started the month of LOVE with a very busy day and a sorethroat.
Had an early meeting with my Big Boss for our Sign & Graphic Exhibition which is the biggest show that we're organizing.
Emails keep on coming; my office landline and mobile phones keep on ringing; colleagues keep on corroborating while i was doing an assessment on the needed requirements for the big event.
In the afternoon my sorethroat was getting worse and i was feeling uptight already but still continued working until I called it a day.
After work, I still managed to go to the supermarket.
I drift off after dinner as I was really really tired and was not feeling well too.
The next day...
I was too lazy to go off to bed the next day. I already had a slight fever and was thinking not to come to office but my loads of work was pulling me so I forced myself to do my share for the day.
During lunch break , I went to Dr. Joseph's Polyclinic for a check up.
I was diagnosed of having a viral infection and the Doctor prescribed a brufen plus 2more meds for me.
I went back to office and was planning to go home early but I need to prepare all the needed docs for our pre-operational meeting at the World Trade Center the next day.Haaayy!!! Sometimes life is really tough.
The next days..
were busily spent working in the office. There were even those days when Buddy was the one preparing dinner as I had to stay at work few hours more.

I'm back...
After more than a month of working seven days a week having two Shows in a row, I'm having a break at last, I still have one more Show to organize though. It's a Trade Fair Show by the way.
I was really dead tired because for the past several weeks I didn't have a rest at all. It was only during last Friday(weekend) & Saturday(holiday) that I was able to grasp my most awaited breather.
Now, I'm back to work feeling a little relax.

HE Saved US...
The Father's Message
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:4-7

Man Does Not Live on Bread Alone
Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the LORD promised on oath to your forefathers. Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
Deuteronomy 8:1-3

January Update II
2nd Half
15th Jan to 21st Jan
Really getting busy now. Our one of the biggest exhibition is forthcoming and we are now in the process of preparing and organizing every details of the show.
Got the influenza and had a day off (sick leave) on the 21st. Oh boy! It was terrible.
22nd Jan to 31st Jan
I went to the hospital on the 22nd to get the flu shot, but according to my Dr., meds would already do and water and juices throughout the day.Gurgle with hot water and salt would also do the trick for my sorethroat, she said.
I was already a little better and bored so Buddy and I went to the mall with his sister's family on the 22nd . Bought a pair of Alice Crocs. It's very comfy and i love the sight of it in my feet.
On the 24th, I was feeling unwell again. Talk about having a relapsed.
Buddy and I went to the mall again on the 28th as he was looking for a nice pair of driving shoes. But we end up buying leg support and nike shirt for him and a pair of slippers for me.
Wowowie day on the 30th. We watched Wowowie live in Dubai. To say it was crowded is an understatement. You will not be able drop a needle in the crowd. It won't fall on the ground.I didn't enjoy much because I felt dizzy with thousands of people around me under the heat of the sun. The good thing was, wowowie gave the grand prizes to all the winning participants.A really big help for the OWF kababayans.

January Update
First Half
1st Jan to 7th Jan
We spent New Year's day at home. Buddy's uncle and sister with their families celebrated the 1st day of 2009 with us. They were in the house as early as 9:am unitl almost evening. We had a great time.
The rest of the days on the first week of the year were customarily spent.
8th Jan to 14th Jan
A very monotonous week. Just office, home and supermarket and chowking.
I watched Twilight on the 8th night though. A really cute movie.
It should have been more charming if they added few more scenes as in the book.
I give Twilight 4 stars.
